Celebrating Rafie's and my birthday

Event: Rafie and my birthday celebration

I know this entry is kinda long overdue. I had been too busy to be able to upload pictures regularly.
Basically Rafie's birthday and mine are 1 day apart (his the 25th and mine 24th). They Rlab gang tried to hold a surprise birthday celebration. However, Rafie and I kinda saw the birthday cake even before it reached the Rlab. So there was no surprise really.
It was a very sweet thing to do. Everyone took some time off from their mugging (it was the examinations period) to celebrate our birthdya. Thanks a lot SISters.
Of course no birthday would be perfect without some saboh act. Both Raff and I got dumped head first into the recycling bin. I could hardly breathe lah...
All in all, it was a damn memoriable event.

The Glitz Affair SISS Investiture
Date: 11th Jan 2008
Venue: Double O
The SISS Investiture where the 3rd Management Committee stepped down giving way to the new committee to take over its rein and take SISS to greater heights.
Basically I met up with Grace, Raff, Levin and George at the Dhoby Ghaut station and took a bus down. However, we got stuck at the bus stop for a while due to a heavy downpour. After waiting out for a while, we decided to brave the rain and walked to Double O.
It was a cool event, with Serene and Fauzi 2 hosting it. There was an earth-shattering performance by Hafiz's band together with Victoria and Jaryl, sexy dance by Marilyn and her dancers and a cool trio who performed turntable music using their mouth (forgot what they are called).
After the investiture, we clubbed the night away and celebrated Kelvin Tham's birthday. Among other highlights, Nelly got wasted before midnight and there are several other people who joined her in the wasted list. Pretty fun event on the whole.

December 2007 Outing

December 2007 Outing
Attendees: Alvina*, Marisa, Hanjin, Chew Ting, Farhanah and me
Date: 12 December 2007
Venue: Bakerz Inn, Millenia Walk
Alvina organized this outing. Maybe with the exception of Chew Ting, the rest of us had difficulty finding the venue. So it was, our first outing since August. We hadn't had one in a while as most of us were busy with our pursuits. Hmmm... cannot lat that happen again.
Bakerz Inn was pretty nice, with the exception of the price and portion of the food. Heh, maybe we shall go there again when any one of us strike lottery. Anyway, we had our dinner and caught up with each other. It was a fun.
After the last serving, I was kinda surprised that the waitress placed more plates on the table. I was asking around how come it was so, oblivious to the other waitress standing behind me carrying a cake. The guys threw a surprise birthday celebration for me. Damn surprising as my birthday was the month before. So I was caught totally unaware!
After dinner, Alvina and Chew Ting had to leave. The four of us left went to Esplanade Theatre, bringing Farah around for her first time there. We went to the rooftop, which had changed quite substantially since I was last there. We talked and yakked until the policeman chased us off.
We continued our bantering by the bay, until we felt it was a good time to go home. There was a nice episode of cockroach being in the car, which Farah had given a very good elaboration on her blog, haha.
It was sure nice meeting each other up again.

It's the fireworks festival!!! The bunch of us went to watch the fireworks at Marina Square after Convocation 2007. There's lotsa nice fireworks and we enjoyed sitting by the bay, watching the spectacle.

YAH HAH!!!
It's Convocation 2007. Our school convocation took place at Suntec Convention Hall on the 18th August 2007. It's our official initiation into SMU. 
All the pomp and ceremony stuffs were fine enough but the most significant thing is that we are starting our new SMU life 2 days after the event. :hopeless:As such, there was a mixed feelings of excitement, apprehension and happiness to be able to start the next phase of our lives with friends.
To all freshmen, all the best for SMU life!!!

Venue: A cafe opposite National Library
YAH HAH!!!
Chew Ting organized this outing. Many people can't make it for this one due to their busy schedules. Also, Laura fell sick on the day itself. So it was a small and quaint outing for us.
We met Chew Ting at Bgis and she brought us to the cafe. The prices were pretty cheap and the food was good as well. As it was the Hungry Ghost Festival, Bei Ai, Irene and Chew Ting were not able to stay for long.
After our meal, we went to Bugis for a while to play arcade at Alvina's insistence. We played some Mario racing game and I tried my hand at the drumming game. We had an early night since Farah and I had Convocation the next day.
